Cardrona has developed a revolutionary method to preserve the delicate wine seasoning of locally sourced Quercus robur Pinot noir wine casks, sourced exclusively from Felton Road. To preserve the fresh and vibrant red-fruit notes of the seasoning, we collect the casks from the local winery, landing them in the Cardrona valley within hours of the wine dumping and charge the casks immediately with Cardrona New Make Spirit. The casks have then rested, maturing in the extreme environment of the Cardrona valley. With a temperature variation from -10 degrees C in winter to 40 degrees in summer, combined with zero humidity, and an altitude of 600 metres above sea level, combined with a pristine location of outstanding natural beauty and purity. The extreme environment has melded the spirit into Whisky of outstanding character. These four casks have been selected for their peak balance of spirit and wood. The result is an extraordinary dram from a New World.

Made from 100% New Zealand grown malted rye and malted barley. This Thomson have crushed, mashed, fermented and finally double distilled through their copper pot stills. Aged in both American oak and French oak casks.

A limited edition bottling handcrafted at the Thomson Whisky distillery. 100% NZ malted barley, smoked with South island peat, and matured in a local Pinot Noir cask. Nose - candied prunes and vanilla with rich Peat smoke. Palate - jammy stone fruit, developing into blood orange and barley sugars. Smoke enveloping the finish.

A celebration of NZ single malt whisky and one of the most important French Oak forests: Allier. This whisky is made from unsmoked New Zealand grown malted barley and has been matured in a second fill wine cask from the Allier forest, central France. Initial grape notes from the wine have been pulled off in the first fill. What's left, and what has been imparted is beautifully smooth, balanced, and compliments the malty NZ whisky. The bottling is giving generous notes of pain aux raisin, dark chocolate, custard, hazelnut.

Zeitgeist 2nd Edition is here. The second coming of one of the Thomson's most sought after single cask bottlings. Zeitgeist first edition was released in Feb 2018 and over the years has been one of the most 'searched' whiskies worldwide from the Thomson portfolio. Meanwhile Head Distiller Mathew Thomson thought to put down more spirit in the same Zeitgeist style, replicating the spec and maturation process. The result was well worth the wait. Thomson are now thrilled to release a 2nd edition of this succulent single malt whisky. Offering a juicy mix of rich tannins, fresh sweet orange zest, stewed fruits, and gentle vanilla. More savoury, spicy and woody than the first edition, they love how the spirit has shaped up. Just 252 bottles are available of this limited edition single cask bottling. Enjoy!
