On the picturesque Gibbston Back Road you will find Rockburn's Pinot Gris Vineyard. Parcels of this Pinot Gris have been subtlety aged in older French oak, thus adding additional layers of texture and weight to the palate and enhancing those exceptional aromatics and flavours. On the nose you'll find aromas of ripe peach, nectarine, and Nashi pear with a vibrant luscious palate and long, zesty finish. Complements rich or light seafood meals and most spiced cuisine, very versatile.

The Stoneleigh range consists of distinctive, elegant, fruit forward Marlborough wines that reflect the unique terroir of their stone-studded vineyards.

Fragrant aromas of crunchy pear, and apple skin with a hint of rosehip lead you in. The medium-bodied palate is brimming with more joyously juicy orchard fruits, and as the wine opens up, hints of spice, dried figs and citrus peel emerge.

Full, rich, and smoothly textured, it offers aromas of lightly roasted cashews, pears, white peaches and a touch of quince. On the palate, a lovely even flow leads to a lingering finish with ripe pear, quince, nectarine and savoury flavours coming through in harmony.

TWR are passionate about aromatic varieties and particularly those from Alsace so it was only a matter of time until they took on the challenge of Pinot Gris. When they first bought their property they replanted a section of the old block with the Berry-Smith clone (also known as Larkham clone) of Pinot Gris. TWR selected this particular clone especially for its low cropping, small bunches and small berries as they felt it would deliver the best quality fruit.
