A celebration of NZ single malt whisky and one of the most important French Oak forests: Allier. This whisky is made from unsmoked New Zealand grown malted barley and has been matured in a second fill wine cask from the Allier forest, central France. Zeitgeist first edition was released in Feb 2018 and over the years has been one of the most 'searched' whiskies worldwide from the Thomson portfolio. Meanwhile Head Distiller Mathew Thomson thought to put down more spirit in the same Zeitgeist style, replicating the spec and maturation process. The result was well worth the wait. Thomson are now thrilled to release a 2nd edition of this succulent single malt whisky. Offering a juicy mix of rich tannins, fresh sweet orange zest, stewed fruits, and gentle vanilla.
