The Hombo family have been distilling for more than a century and they added whisky to their repertoire in 1949 in Kagoshima. This whisky is inspired by great whiskies of America. Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, this US1 Unblended American Whiskey is aged in a way that utilizes whiskey-soaked barrels to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile. In late 2013, then Master Distiller Willie Pratt agreed to re-release our US1 Unblended American Whiskey after a nearly three-year absence from the market, deeming it 'just right' and 'the best it's ever been.' Crucially, our US1 Unblended American Whiskey never contains grain neutral spirits - hence its 'unblended' distinction.

Naked Malt's unique blend of the world's finest single malts is extra matured for six months in 'Naked' first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. They call these casks 'Naked' because they've never held whisky before. This process adds a layer of rich and fruity flavour, creating a great tasting, versatile whisky, perfect for enjoying your way. Deep russet, clear and bright. Well balanced oak, sherry with a citrus hint on the nose. To finish on the palate there is a medium full flavour, mature, Speyside fruitiness.

The Sailor's Home was built in 1856 to provide welcome and sanctuary to seafarers on their journeys. A haven really.
