Often affectionately known as 'Baby Grange', Bin 389 was first created by legendary Penfolds winemaker Max Schubert in 1960, combining the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz. The 2024 vintage carries that legacy forward with a generous, weighty palate of dark chocolate, cherry liqueur and blueberry, complemented by sweet spice, tobacco leaf and savoury ironstone notes. Fine, silken tannins and fresh acidity provide balance and length, while maturation in barrels previously used for Grange adds another layer of character.
